Montford Estate 2020 Sauvignon Blanc. 92 Points – Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
From New Zealand's most beloved, heartland wine regions
Montford Estate wines hail from the wine regions best known for each varietal: crisp, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough; ripe, bold Merlot-Cabernet from the sunny Hawke's Bay, and brooding, savoury Pinot Noir from Central Otago.
"Classically expressed, the wine shows passionfruit, apricot, kiwifruit and rockmelon characters on the nose. It's equally satisfying on the palate, offering terrific fruit purity together with fine texture and bright acidity, offering gorgeous drinking."

Haysley MacDonald, the owner and founder of Montford Estate Wines, wasn't always a wine grower and vigneron. His ties to working the land, and crafting incredible quality produce from it, started long before Montford Estate was launched to critical acclaim in 2019.
