Cameron Douglas rates new release Montford wines

As we head into the Kiwi summer and towards Christmas, we're excited to share some of our newer vintage wines with the world. 

That's why we're so stoked to see some awesome new scores from Master Sommelier Cameron Douglas for our new and soon to be released Montford Estate wines! Check them out below: 

Montford Estate Pinot Gris 2021, Marlborough 92 Points Premium
Ripe, fruity, varietal and enticing bouquet with aromas then flavours of fresh white fleshed tree fruits - pears and apple, nectarine then white spice. A satin texture touches the palate first then contrasting acidity with a salivating note leading to a vibrant and refreshing finish.
 
Montford Estate Rose 2021, Marlborough 92 Points Premium
Plush, ripe, fresh, fruity and ready. Aromas and flavours of red berries, plum and raspberry, some red cherry and moments of spice. Refreshing and lively on the palate with flavours of red berries and melon at the core, a whisper of salinity and mineral moments then red flowers.
 
Montford Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Marlborough 90 Points Premium
Ripe and vibrant with a core of fruit reflecting scents of green apple and pear, some tropical fruits and citrus then fresh herb and some clay soil moments. On the palate - flavours of the same accentuated with a core of acidity and moderate alcohol. Balanced and well made with an even finish. 
 
Montford Estate Pinot Noir 2020, Marlborough 90 Points Premium
Bright, fruity and varietal with scents of rose and red apple, some cherry and a light savoury dried herb complexity. On the palate - youthful, fresh, balanced and dry with flavours that mirror the bouquet - cherry and red cherry. Fine tannins with medium+ acidity and gently warming alcohol.
